Elegance & colorfulness
Summer 2024 is currently showing its cool, grayish side. High time for a trend reversal, we think! How can we do that?Dear Mr. Sommer, we'll show you - with our tropical-brilliant Design Edition Hummingbird.
A magnificent bird that lives only on sweet nectar...
It has a delicate and energetic effect. One moment there, and a blink later somewhere else entirely: the hummingbird.
An almost ethereal creature that feeds solely on the sweet nectar of flowers. We are dedicating the 2024 Design Edition of our fruity selection to it - celebrating not only sweet pleasure, but also the magic of the moment.
Like our colorful friend, it can leave a lasting impression. And that's exactly what the summery truffle treasures slumbering under the brilliant design cover do. Fruity and colorful, they play with the opulence of the motif; like a sweet expedition to tropical climes.

This is the taste of summer:
Colors, shapes and motifs are subject to constant change. At regular intervals, we launch a limited edition on the market that picks up on current trends in fashion, design, color and lifestyle. The Limited Edition 2024 bears the name 'KOLIBRI'. Hummingbirds are also known as 'flying gems', as their iridescent, bright play of colors is created by a special structure in their plumage.
The extraordinary and magical appearance of the hummingbirds inspired our chocolatiers to design a new gift box and present it as a Limited Edition 2024: vibrant, colorfull and sensual.
The new design cover of our fruity selection gives a foretaste of what gourmets can expect when they open the high-quality packaging: a hamonious play of colors and opulent deligths in perfect balance.
Five fruity fresh truffles and pralines in the flavors pomegranate, woodruff, mango, strawberry-rhubarb and raspberry are the contents of this 125 g gift pack and thus the 'nectar' for the hummingbird, making the limited edition of the summer classic the sweetest must-have of the year.
Confectionery
knowledge to go:
What is the difference between a truffle and a praline?
A glance at the Lauenstein range alone shows that the praline gives us immense creative scope. The truffle is a subspecies of praline. Its characteristics: It is usually spherical and often has an uneven surface. Incidentally, it has both of these characteristics in common with the noble mushroom of the same name, which enjoys similar esteem in gourmet circles.
The truffle is mostly made of using hollow chocolate balls, which are pre-molded in our factory and filled once they have cooled.
The filling is typically based on a so-called ganache. Finally, the truffles are dipped again in chocolate and decorated or rolled in cocoa or fruit powder.

Cheers to
lightness and enjoyment!
Our Lauenstein Design Edition 'Kolibri' joins an impressive series of themes from recent years,
