The first vacation ritual that sets the mood for many travelers to Italy is a visit to the local coffee bar - this simple, everyday venue for the Italian art of enjoyment. Unlike in hip coffee shops with baristas, endless coffee menus and lots of shi shi, here it's all about the essentials: good, strong, dark-roasted caffè. When we talk about summer here in Ludwigsstadt, it usually doesn't take long before someone throws the word "garden party" into the round. After all, it is somehow the epitome of this wonderfully light-hearted, sociable time of year. We think of fire bowls and trees lit up by colorful lanterns, bar tables with white covers and light treats, light and airy summer dresses and lively music...
What's missing? Of course: a well-mixed drink!
