The foundation of the “Fischbachsmühle”Our Fischbachsmühle is embedded in the idyllic Loquitz valley in close proximity to the confluence of the name-providing stream for the mill “Fischbach”. The founding of the Fischbachsmühle falls into the second half of the seventeenth century.

From love to culinary delightA reputable confectioner from Berlin falls in love with the miller’s daughter from the Fischbachsmühle - so he moves to the Franconian Forest to lovingly create the finest praline specialities.

Enjoyment transforms into a vocationIn the former mill and silo structures of the Fischbachsmühle pralines are starting to get created by hand. The business registration “Pralinenboy – Pralinenfabrikation” dates back to January 1st, 1965.

1989
From a vocation to a manufactureThe rebranding from “Pralinenboy” to “Lauenstein Confiserie GmbH” takes place in 1989 under the business leadership of Dr. Erich Kaub.

1992
The international confectionaryThe praline specialities from our Fischbachsmühle are in 1992 long since the epitome for the highest praline culture and the best manufacturing quality in the whole world.

2007
Growth strengthens the regionIn 2007 the main fabrication moves to the manufacture in Teuschnitz.

2008
Culinary delight turns into an eventAfter extensive, complex renovations and restorations, the Fischbachsmühle is turned into a unique culinary destination with a transparent factory, a factory outlet and a coffee shop.

2015
Passion for perfectionIn 2015 the Lauenstein Confiserie celebrates its 50th anniversary and strengthens its promise: passion for perfection in the art of manufacturing chocolate.
